Dynamic Principles
Dynamic Principles provides science-based, practical continuing education for healthcare and movement professionals that is rooted in a biopsychosocial framework. Our mission is to help the world-wide healthcare system to re-conceptualize their understanding of pain and movement through current science, while navigating the complexities of helping a whole person. Our vision is to inspire hope and promote growth for providers, their clients and their patients alike.
Owner / Lead Instructor
Leonard Van Gelder is a clinician, coach, researcher, & educator. He is the founder of, and serves in leadership roles for, the Innovative Movement Development Ventures (IMDV) Group, Dynamic Movement & Recovery, Dynamic Principles, Move Better, and Dynamic Movement Frameworks.
He has been involved in the movement and rehabilitation field for over 20 years. During this time, he has studied, published research, and presented at regional and international conferences on the science of movement and pain. He has explored a diverse spectrum of manual therapy and movement approaches, and emphasizes a biopsychosocial approach to movement, manual therapy, and education in his practice.
Leonard is the creator and lead developer of the Human Rehabilitation Framework (HRF).™
He owns and practices clinically at Dynamic Movement and Recovery (DMR) in Grand Rapids, MI.
Director of Operations / Instructor
Cameron Faller is a physical therapist, educator, and strength and conditioning specialist who has been involved in the movement industry for over 10 years. Having experience throughout several healthcare organizations in his career, Cameron has recognized the many flaws impacting adequate care for individuals struggling with pain or movement problems. This ultimately fueled his passion to help those that the rest of the healthcare world has given up on. He is able to inspire hope and promote growth for this population at his clinical facility he co-owns called Dynamic Movement and Recovery (DMR) in Grand Rapids, MI. He also is heavily involved with being an advocate for the physical therapy profession serving multiple roles within the APTA Michigan Chapter as well as the Michigan Pain SIG.
Lead Psychologist/ Instructor
Dr. Eddie O’Connor is a professional speaker and both clinical and sport psychologist, specializing in removing barriers to peak performance. He is a Fellow and Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, and member of the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry. Dr. Eddie has worked with youth, high school, collegiate, national and international, Junior Olympic and professional athletes and coaches, as well as performing artists and musicians.
Dr. Eddie is frequently sought after by media, appearing regularly on FOX News in Grand Rapids, a featured guest on SiriusXM’s Doctor Radio, and quoted in ESPN.com, NBA.com, Los Angeles Times, Runner’s World, NYMag.com, and CNN.com.
He is author and host of “The Psychology of Performance: How to Be Your Best in Life” by The Great Courses, quoted in the New York Times as being the “Netflix of learning” who recruit “the world’s greatest professors” that “are truly special.”
An international presenter with over 350 speaking engagements and media appearances, Dr. Eddie delivers a powerful and entertaining message to his audience.

Senior Editor/Instructor
Keagen Hadley is a clinician, clinical researcher, blogger, and Amazon bestselling author. He is the Senior Editor at Dynamic Principles and joins the team from the pharmaceutical industry where he is a director, specializing in neurological and psychiatric conditions.
His background clinically is in occupational therapy where he spends time walking alongside those struggling psychologically from their physical injuries, which is the topic of his book “Torn: Overcoming the Psychological Challenges Post-ACL Injury”. As an athlete, Keagen tore both of his ACLs playing American football and is acutely aware of the emotional damage physical conditions can have on your life.
Keagen is passionate about entrepreneurship, writing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, staying active, and learning.

Instructor
David J. Schwarz has education and experience in physical therapy, massage therapy, and administration. As a multifaceted professional he has over 9 years of healthcare experience in multiple service settings and capacities with a passion for facilitating healthy aging, caring for persons with persisting conditions, improving quality of life for people with physical and mental health issues, and utilizing manual therapy techniques for recovery and functional improvements. He has been involved in multiple areas of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association including the MPTA Oncology Rehab SIG and the MPTA Pain SIG.
